Best screener out there

The Stock Screener is incredibly powerful, lets me filter exactly how I need. I usually wait for Black Friday deals to renew my subscription since they have big discounts then. They take PayPal and cards, always easy.

Decent for charting, but cancelling is a headache

Compared to something like Finviz, TradingView's charting is pretty robust, especially with tools like the Elliott Wave Tools. The Market Data is generally accurate. However, trying to cancel my subscription was way more complicated than it needed to be. They really push hard for you to stay, and finding the actual cancellation option felt like a scavenger hunt. It made me miss the simplicity of just logging into Yahoo Finance for a quick check.

Essential for Charting

Last Black Friday, I used my referral credits to upgrade; Watchlists are robust, making market tracking easy.

Great value, mostly real-time

Anyone else find TradingView's charting indispensable? I've been eyeing their Price Alerts, and the value is really there, especially compared to something like Bloomberg Terminal. It's mostly real-time data, which is crucial, though I wish a couple of obscure futures pairs updated a tad faster. Keep an eye out for Black Friday; that's usually when they offer significant account credits, way better than any random promo code.

Great value, especially with Black Friday deals

Compared to something like Bloomberg Terminal, TradingView offers incredible value, especially if you can snag a Black Friday discount. I started with the free version and found the "Social Network for Traders" to be surprisingly useful for bouncing ideas around. It's definitely worth it if you're looking to save money and still get solid charting tools.

Great for charting, mostly

Yesterday, I got the upgrade and my Gann Tools are much better, though I wish their newsfeed was more robust like Investing.com's.

Consistent charts, good value

I've been using TradingView for a few years now, always on their Premium plan. This recent renewal was smooth, just like previous years. The Supercharts perform reliably, and the real-time data is consistently accurate for my needs. It's why I keep coming back, even with other platforms out there. Took 5 days for the payment to fully process, but no issues with access.

Hey everyone, thinking about getting a paid plan for TradingView. Is it worth the money compared to free options like Yahoo Finance? Mostly interested in the charting and screener features.

N Noor 4 months ago
Yeah, totally worth it if you're serious. The charts are way more powerful than Yahoo's, and the screeners actually let you find stuff you're looking for. Plus, real-time data is a game changer.

Depends on what you need. If you just dabble, maybe not. But for actual trading or deep analysis, it blows free stuff out of the water. MetaTrader is really clunky by comparison too, IMO.
